I would like to know what's the best way to take the images of an old iPhoto library and integrate them in my Photos library. Both libraries (Photos and iPhoto) are on different Macs. The goal is to have the images of both libraries merged on the new Mac in the Photos library. The old Mac can't be updated to run the new Photos app. Thanks for the help!
On a Mac with Photos 7 on macOS 12 you can import photos directly from another Photos Library. You could copy your old iPhoto Library to an external volume, then connect this volume to your new Mac. On the new Mac open the iPhoto library in Photos to create a new Photos Library from it.
then open your main Photos library in Photos and import the converted iPhoto Library into your main library. Before you do this, make a backup copy of the main Photos Library, just in case something should go wrong during the import.
