Troubleshooting iPhone Battery Draining:
Refer to the Following:
I. Upgrade Once More:
Upgrade to the latest update.
Go Here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip
II. Report this to Apple:
Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.
II. Troubleshooting iPhone Battery Draining:
Refer to the Following...
A. Battery Drain Info:

B.. Troubleshooting the Battery:
Hello there!
You may have a rogue app constantly running. See these steps:
1) Have you tried a restart? If not, do it now.
2) Go to Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.
3) Check “Battery Health” in the link:
Hey thanks for the tips, will check them out
the battery percentage is at 100% as I bought this phone like a month ago.
also during the battery drain period the only app that used much of the battery was also VLC, as seen on my first reply below the original post
Here is a screenshot of the hour that was spent on vlc
