No Data Source for Apple Health

I want to get a cardio fitness score with my new apple watch 7 (Fitbit tracks this data automatically). There is no option to “edit” or “add” a data source for cardio fitness in the health app. I’ve followed the steps as far as I can tell and when I get to the data source screen there is no “edit” option and no data source showing. All apps show they are fully updated. All other data points seem to be working correctly.

Thank you for the link. I’ve enabled that previously and it just doesn’t seem to have linked that data from my watch. There is now no add or edit option it just simply is there and enabled but not connected to the watch. I guess I can unlink my phone/watch and try resetting everything again, but then I’ll lose all of the other data points that are working correctly.

You won't get a data source until the watch has recorded some Vo2Max data.

Why is there no VO2 max data in the Health app?

If you can’t find any VO2 max readings in the Health app, that is probably because you have not yet logged the right kind of workouts with your watch. Only three workout types can produce an estimated VO2 max on Apple Watch: Outdoor Walk,Outdoor Run and hiking.

VO2 max relates to maximal exertion. So you’ll need to log a pretty intensive workout to generate a reading. And you’ll need to sustain it for at least 20 minutes.
