Iphone Contact Screen reloads 3-4 times while editing notes/phone numbers

While I'm in my Contacts - trying to add Notes, edit a phone number, or an address - I find that the screen re-loads several times before finally settling down to allow me to make edits.

Any correlation to the fact that I have 3 areas under "Linked Contacts" (My Company directory/Gmail/iCloud)?

Mac stopped added contacts (I use a Google Contacts account) I've noticed quite some time that contacts both on my Mac and iPhone is flakey. I use a Google Contacts account not iCloud. On my Mac For quite some time, I have noticed that I would have to enter a contact multiple times before it would record it. Lately, it won't add it at all. I enter all the contact information and it briefly shows the new contact on the left listing and then it disappears. On my iPhone, for years I've noticed that adding notes in Contacts is flaky. I'd add a note to a contact, close the edit and the note disappears. I've gotten into the habit of copying the note before I close so that I can re enter it when it disappears. Eventually it captures it. I see this is happening to others. Come on Apple. Very frustrating.

Question regarding lists on phone app when I open the phone app, there is a left arrow button called lists. When I push that a page comes up that shows “all contacts”, “all gmail” and “all iphone”. When I create a new contract from a recent phone call it only goes into “alll contacts”. however, when I sync my Deja office program, that grabs contact info that is in the “all iPhone “ list. Is there a way to when I add a contact for it to populate the “all iphone” list? Why are there 2 different ones. I want all my contacts to be on my iPhone. please help

Editing problems in contacts My iPhone 8 has stopped accepting changes I enter in my contacts addresses. I found a “solution” originally posted in May 2021 that involved entering a new address, saving it, closing the app and then deleting the old file. That is a workaround, thanks to the poster, but it is not a solution This problem just began for me a few weeks ago, after a software update. What is Apple doing to fix this?

Just tried this and it worked.

I've tried to conscientiously ReStart my iPhone from time to time - but never thought to try it for this.

Restart the device. That's it.

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other
