Final Cut Pro Flashback Transition still broken

I noticed I'm not the only one who has experienced the poor quality of Final Cut Pro's Flashback Transition. The transition is close to being perfect and exactly what I need, but there are strange quick wiggles at the beginning and end of the transition, and it is not smooth at all.

Final Cut Pro Flashback transition broken? - Apple Community

I found this old thread about it and tried to download the repaired flashback plugin that fox_m made, but it isn't working. Does anyone have any solutions to suggest or plugins to share that work? I haven't bought Motion yet, but if I did, would anyone be able to provide a quick step-by-step of how to create the same effect with it, if that's the only solution?

Trying to wrap up this video tonight, and this has become a nightmare.

If you're version of FCPX is less than 10.4.10, then the transition needs to be backdated.

You can open the file here:

https://fcpxtemplates.com/motion-template-backdater/

upload the .motr file, set the version of FCPX you have then Download the backdated file.

If you're version of FCPX is current (10.4.10 or higher), then you may have missed a step in the installation (typically, creating a Category folder for the template). Double check to see if the template has been installed correctly:

/Users/<your home folder>/Movies/Motion Templates/Transitions/<A category folder of your choice or making>/Flashback Repaired/

Flashback Repaired is the *folder* containing Flashback Repaired.motr, large.png, small.png and a Media folder.

The original Flashback is placed in the Movements category. The Movements folder does not exist in the User installation pathway (it's internally set up inside FCPX) but you can create a Movements category folder in your installation path if you want to keep them together in Final Cut.
