my SMS messages wont send on my mac all of a sudden, what do i do to fix this?

i conneted my iphone to my mac to end and receive text messages while my iphone screen is cracked, at first everything was working fine but nw i cant send sms messages to non iphone users, what happened?? how do i fix this?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 11.5

Use Messages on your Mac If you have an iPhone, you can also set up text message forwarding to send SMS and MMS messages

Make sure on the iPhone " Text Forwarding" is enable and in that same setting the Computer is listed and enabled.

Use Messages in iCloud
