Turn off announcing incoming call waiting calls

Hi there,

I am running iOS 15.2.1 on an iPhone 12 Pro Max

When on a call I have another call coming in on call waiting I hear the call waiting tone but also I get an announcement of the name and phone number of the new incoming call. I checked my settings and for months now I have announce calls turn off. Phone > Announce Calls > Never.

Is there some other option to turn off announcements for incoming calls occurring during call waiting?

Hi,

First I would recommend updating iOS to 15.3.1 within Settings.

Afterwards, make sure you have this feature disabled within

Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Calls > Never

and

Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications > Phone.

Hi there - Still happening with 15.3.1

Verified

Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Calls > Never

and

Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications > Phone.

There are the directions below. I cant find the option stated in step 3. there is no "Turn Headphone Notifications on or off."

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPod touch.
Tap Sounds & Haptics, then tap Headphone Safety.
Turn Headphone Notifications on or off.
