EDITED
IMHO first error was going to Geek Squad as per previous posting and second error is Webroot as per the first 206 posting related to that specific Application
Refer to below for " Webroot " and Other bad actors that should be removed as per the Developers Instructions.
Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.
This includes AntiVirus & Disk Cleaners
This will included Norton Antivirus
Webroot <<<<<<<
The The Built in Security is all that is required.
Updated it on my desk top, a long process then after update a couple of saved websites were entered by unauthorized user and IP address for computer was breeched. Took Computer to Geek squad and they recommended not using the desk top anymore.
The IP address for your computer was not "breached". That's nonsense. And the dweebs as geek squad couldn't find their *** with both hands and a flashlight. Avoid them at all costs.
As for websites being entered by "unauthorized user", Why do you believe that to be the case?
The update is safe.
Had Webroot installed and it disappeared after upgrade, all my apple products are linked and not issue with others. Perhaps a coincidence, but nerve racking as well, all important PW have been changed. Thanks
Webroot, and other 3rd party antivirus software, is worthless on a Mac. It was probably 'removed' because it's not compatible with the new version of macOS.
You still need to remove the remnants of it as referenced above.
What makes you think all your important passwords were "changed"?
Of course.
There are millions of us users who have updated. What are your concerns.
That wouldn't be the result of upgrading your OS. Maybe poor password management at best, but still likely not a cause for concern. Change your passwords and run malwarebytes.
