is this an apple owned thing? Seems weird with their logos but I caught some errors in the text. Just curious.

Never assume that just because the word "apple" is in the domain name that it belongs to Apple. Though the very long string of gobbledygook after the slash automatically makes it spam.

If you ever want to check who a site belongs to, there are numerous places you can do searches on. I use this one.

A domain name/IP search for apple.com gives you the ownership you'd expect it to have:

Registrant Name: Domain Administrator

Registrant Organization: Apple Inc.

Registrant Street: One Apple Park Way

Registrant City: Cupertino

Registrant State/Province: CA

Registrant Postal Code: 95014

Registrant Country: US

Registrant Phone: +1.4089961010

Registrant Phone Ext:

Registrant Fax: +1.4089741560

Registrant Fax Ext:

Registrant Email: domains@apple.com

apple******sale.com returns this:

Registrant Name: Redacted for Privacy

Registrant Organization: Privacy service provided by Withheld for Privacy ehf

Registrant Street: Kalkofnsvegur 2

Registrant City: Reykjavik

Registrant State/Province: Capital Region

Registrant Postal Code: 101

Registrant Country: IS

Registrant Phone: +354.4212434

Registrant Phone Ext:

Registrant Fax:

Registrant Fax Ext:

Registrant Email: d778c020a6e547079414d2dccfe75f8e.protect@withheldforprivacy.com

Um. Yeah, sure. Blocked for "privacy". More like, make it a bit harder to find a criminal. Country code IS is Iceland. But the domain obviously has nothing to do with Apple.
