2021 iMac message USB Accessories Disabled

I am so disappointed over the confusion caused by the change of Outputs and new accessory leads that are no longer supplied when upgrading and purchasing my new 2021 M1 iMac. I now get the warning message "USB Accessories Disabled. Unplug the Accessory using too much Power to enable USB Devices".

The only connection I have is the Apple DVD Super-drive that is around 10 years old, but if I try to also plug-in my iPad, I now receive this warning. It never happed before, so why now?

I have wasted so much time in phoning Apple Support as well as my local stores in my attempts to purchase the correct Multiport Adapter and none of their staff can give the correct advice. I have also written to so many Apple Customer Support departments but their support is just not forthcoming!

Its no wonder that the EU Technology Minister is investigating the confusion now caused by Apple producing numerous leads and adapters.

Well interestingly various Apple Staff (having communicated by telephone, Chat Room, and emails) suggested the Satechi Multiport, even sending me the "Amazon Link" as they couldn't supply it from the Apple Store. My local Apple store suggested I go to my local "Argos Store"!

I used to be able to connect DVD writer, Ext Hard-Drive, Video Tape Player, Apple A1595 Lightning to SD Card Reader, A1619 Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, plus a Canon USB Colour Printer. I also have a Focusrite Scarlett 2 Channel Audio input device.

Is it such a difficult request to expect professional advice from trained Apple personnel? I feel as if I have wasted £190 for additional Apple Support!
