iphone 12 pro max screen frozen after IOS 15.3.1 update

None of the suggestions worked for me because to shut down the phone you have to use the screen and swipe to "power off". and it is not responding.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Apple should have fixed this problem before releasing this software version.

Our life depends on our phones. Please help.
