Better for them, not me . I will never enable it as this is for Apple alone. It does nothing to secure anything beyond Apples own system like signing into icloud or Apple Pay which I don't use . No, they don't become a trusted device if you use a VPN but being a trusted device it leaves it open if it is stolen or broken into. Apple will continue to mess my workflow, interrupt meetings , harass and try to trick me into enabling it. They should enable a kill for the warning .

Thanks. Unfortunately the only only way to stop it is to enable it. Unless a better security feature for Apple ID sign in is created Apple will eventually likely require it be turned in no matter what. I get why you may not like it but it’s not harassment because it’s Apple’s service and they’re trying to do away with less secure sign in features.

As for always needing your phone with you when you sign into your Apple ID I think you’re a little confused. Since you have multiple Apple devices the first time you sign in after two factor authentication is turned on that device becomes a trusted device that can also be used to verify the Apple ID at sign in.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner. Pick the closest topic you can find.
