on my ipad i want to add a mailbox (folder) o my existing email account.....i receive the message..unable to add mailbox on ...... on my email i only show inbox and trash

What is the mail provider you user? Have you tried adding the mailbox on their webmail app?
Do you have an MDM profile in Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management?
