My husbands phone number is messaging send and receive, I add my # but never receive code to continue.

New iPhone, somehow my husbands phone number is attached to my messaging send and receive and I can’t replace it with mine.

This is happening because you are using the same Apple ID as your husband. If you continue to use the same Apple ID, then you will continue to see phone numbers and data overlap. The best thing to do is to use your own Apple ID and look into 👉 Family Sharing.
