Logic Pro X 10.6

I have just upgraded OS from Mojave To Catalina. I know that Logic Pro X 10.6 is compatible with Catalina.

I would like to purchase Logic in the App Store, where it should provide me the compatible Logic version; but since I've never owned Logic, I understand that I won't be allowed to purchase it.

The only way that I can purchase Logic is to update my OS to Big Sur or Monterey; this is not an option, I'm not going to upgrade to either OS.

Does anyone have any workaround that can be shared/suggested.

Thank you

SA

Great, thanks so much for the confirmation it's still possible to use this workaround!

As for available options, you could install a newer macOS version (Big Sur or Monterey) on a bootable external HDD/SDD, USB stick or SD card, then boot from it and purchase Logic Pro. Another option is to install and run a newer version of macOS in a virtual machine using software like VirtualBox or similar.

I did take your advice, and just called Apple support; they did instruct that could purchase LP on another computer that's running Big Sur or Monterey, the APP store with my Apple ID.

Then I'd sign into my computer with LP in the APP store awaiting for me to download.

It would then download the LP version that's compatible to Catalina OS which is running on my computer.

I've exhausted that option of anyone running BigSur or Monterey.

So there's got to be another option?
