Apple TV code not sent

Signed up for Apple TV+ through T-Mobile offer to watch on 2020 LG TV. After signing on TV with Apple ID and password, message says "Verification Code sent to devices", but no code sent to phone or email. Thank you.

"If you're asked for a verification code, you have two-factor authentication set up for your Apple ID. Learn about two-factor authentication and what to do if you still canʼt sign in."


Within this link, there are steps to manually get a code, go to the section, "Get a code from Settings on your trusted device".
