Downloaded music didn't transfer to new phone.

All my iPhone 7 content transfered from my iphone 7 to my new iphone 13 pro, EXCEPT my music. None of the music is on iTunes and it all was loaded from my CDs. How do I transfer my music now?? TIA

iPhone 13 Pro

Backups are so important, as you very likely now realize. It’s too bad you didn’t have that PC backed up before its crash. With a Mac, the backup process is made very simple because Time Machine, the app that automatically performs backups, is built in to the operating system.

You have a major problem. An iPhone can never serve as a music repository.

It’s almost like these two clauses contradict each other. Normally, when one loads music from CDs, the destination is iTunes (or Music on a Mac).

So it’s time to do that now.

Then sync your iPhone’s music using iTunes. iTunes on your PC becomes your music repository.

Thank you for the response! The music was loaded through iTunes from CDs onto my iPhone 4 a LONG time ago (I had a PC system crash and lost my songs on iTunes back before iCloud), but I was able to transfer the music to my iPhone 7 when I first purchased it. I have been lucky to be able to listen to the music app on my iPhone. Looks like iPhone 13 will not transfer unless it is in the cloud / on iTunes. Looks like I am out of luck now. :( Ugh .. takes so much time to load hundreds of songs to iTunes!
