Clear fontbook cache

Hi there, I need to workout how I clear the cache on my wifes macbook pro. Font book is not loading fonts properly and not displaying the font in the preview window. I am trying to start sorting out getting rid of the type 1 fonts. We purchased a new OTF and installed it on both my macbook pro and my wifes mac. Mine works exactly as it should and my wifes doesn't. We had another issue with other fonts also.

How do I clear the font cache or reinstall font book?

I read something about going to the folder Library/Caches/ATS but I can't find that folder on either mac.

Any ideas how I can get her font book running as it used to?

If it is a corrupt font cache for your Mac  you can try removing all font cache files including system and logged in user account.

Close all running applications.

From the terminal.app copy and paste:

sudo atsutil databases -remove

(Please note your psswd will not echo on screen, to proceed use the return/enter key)

then quite Terminal  and restart your Mac

From your Font Book.app>File>Restore Standard Fonts
