Apple Watch 6 stuck in sleep mode after latest

After the latest IOS update on 02/20/22, my Apple Watch is stuck in sleep mode. I have cycled the sleep mode toggle on both the watch and phone, cycled focus mode mirroring on and off, rebooted the phone and watch, and no change. Any suggestions?
