Spatial Audio Won’t Work

I’m trying to turn on spatial audio on my AirPods 3s, but it for some reason it won’t show up in my settings. My AirPods are set to firmware 4C170, and my device is an iPod Touch 8th generation. I’ve tried forgetting the device, and that didn’t work.
