Previous searches on this topic stated that FIRST, using Terminal the MTU number had to be changed and THEN the settings in Advanced Network Hardware could be adjusted? Also, some solutions mentioned pinging to determine the optimum value for MTU. Thanx for your response.....I will certainly give it a try and check my network performance as, it seems so much simpler that the other choices I've seen .
If you attempt to go above about 8,000. you will need to make a change to an internal buffer-size in terminal.
