Are you using an iPhone when this happens? If so, check to see if you have enough available storage, then try again.

Also, try taking another, shorter video, to see if the length of the screen recoding is what's causing it not to save. The steps in the related article above have the steps, but here they are again for reference:

Also, try isolating to the Photos app by closing then reopening the app, restarting your iPhone, and checking for updates.
