Apple Pay four digits different than Card

i understand that Apple Pay last 4 digits is different than my credit cards last 4 digits. However, I made a return recently and paid with Apple Pay. The last four digits does not match the Apple Pay digits OR my credit card.

it has been 2 business days and I still don’t see the return on my credit card.

is this any issue I should talk to my bank about?
