Face ID not working on iPhone

Why doesn’t my Face ID work? It keeps telling me to move it lower and higher. I even restarted my phone and took it off silence mode but it still wouldn’t work. I am frustrated.

FACE ID NOT WORKING ON MY IPHONE 13 PRO MAX My face ID is not working. I updated to the latest 16.2, made sure my camera is clean, turned the phone off an on a couple of times. reset all my settings (without erasing all my data) tried resetting my FACE ID and still gives a square and tells me to move closer and lower but does not work. Any suggestions ?
