iPhone 11 Artwork mixed up after all tracks reloaded

I just got a new (to me) iPhone 11 Pro which migrated ok from my old iphone 7. But many tracks were duplicated so I fixed this - as suggested - by wiping all the music from the iphone 11 and then resynced via a USB cable. All songs now correct. HOWEVER all the artwork is mixed up Eg an AC/DC album has Counting Crows artwork etc.

I dont have iTunes Music. So no "re-sync" option is available.

The tracks are all either off CD or albums purchased from iTunes store.

Not all album have artwork but thats fine. I assume those are the CD ones but how do I correct the artwork that DOES exist?

I found a number of old folders and files in my Music folder (see pic). These are probably from many many previous iterations of Macs and iTunes versions. So I check dtaes on the all and moved the away.

I then cleared all music from the iPhone and did resync again.

This appears to have fixed it. This time. Also gained me about 7.9Gb of space !!
