What is the default permission for an Administrator user on another user's home folder

User Privileges From what I saw in an earlier similar post from someone else 'wheel' is a special group that indicates that a user is an administrator and users of the wheel group aren't actually root but they can "take the wheel" for commands that need privileged access. –"Members of this group have permission to run installers, modify system preferences, etc. If you wanted to make special permissions for administrators, you'd assign them to 'wheel'.". I am still a bit confused , could someone explain? Thanks.

How do I require an admin password be entered before a user can change a setting inside an app? We have Dropbox installed on our office computers. Inside the Dropbox app we selectively sync certain folders to be shared with each device on which the Dropbox app is installed. I need the Dropbox app to run on these devices, but I need to keep users of these devices from changing any settings within the Dropbox app. Otherwise, users could simply change file syncing options within Dropbox and see folders from our Dropbox account that I don't want them to see. How do I disallow users to change settings within apps in macOS? NOTE: I have already talked to Dropbox about this, and they do not have a solution. Dropbox only allows file restrictions by logged in user, not by device. I can see that what I have been asking for has been requested by users for over 8 years and Dropbox hasn't added it yet and I don't imagine they will. In short, there is no solution from Dropbox which would allow restrictions on file syncing by device.

Why cannot I become administrator of the hard disk or Applications folder? As it is now if I open the Applications folder and delete an app, I have to enter my password. If, in the Finder, I go to the Applications folder and "get info" and then try to add "admin account" or my administrator account name to the folder I get a message that I don't have permission to do that. So who do I have to go to for permission? I thought that was the highest level. — Richard

If they are an Admin it'd be their User's password, but there is also a Group called administrators that can be added...
