T-Mobile 3% Apple Card Confusion

A previous thread stated that the T-Mobile 3% for using Apple Card/Pay is only good if you go to the T-Mobile physical store and pay on a physical terminal. I agree that it gets 3% by that method. But the Apple Card "promo" website also says, "T-Mobile. This includes payments made with Apple Pay in-store as well as bill payments and auto-pay via the website or app. Can anyone confirm they are getting 3% for entering your Apple Card Number into the T-Mobile website and setting it as the default for auto-pay?
