This is not actually a question , it’s an answer. After the last update every time I answered my phone it would automatically mute me whether I had an earpiece in or not. I just figured it out yesterday that if you have your phone app on banner mode that is why. When you put the phone app on full screen it does not do it. Please fix this, PLEASE!!!!
I have done all of the above. This problem continues when the phone setting to answer a call is on banner and it only happens when answering a FaceTime call. When the settings for the phone is on full screen it does not happen.

If you haven't done so yet, make sure you're running the latest iOS version which is 15.3.1. Installing the latest software can sometimes fix issue unexpected behavior.
