MacBook pro 2011 mini display port cable - HDMI or VGA for 15m run to stage monitor?

I want to use my MacBook pro 2011 for video out to an on stage monitor for shows. Monitor accepts HDMI and VGA. I want to have a 10 to 15 metre cable run. Best solution would be?

It has been years since I had to run extended VGA cables so I don't recall specifics. I do recall that there may be some VGA cables that may be able to run further than 5 meters, but they will be extremely expensive. The better option would be to get a video extender which typically converts the VGA signal to run over an Ethernet cable. Each end of the cable will have a converter box to convert the signal. Most likely you will need to connect each video extender box to power. Just search for video extenders.
