Alarm on watch and phone not working

Thank god I finally looked this up. I thought I was going mad 😠!

The alarm stopped about January time and hasn’t started working again yet.

I had resorted to also setting an alarm on my home pod just to make sure I got up on time.

Does anyone know when this will be sorted, I reply on my watch to track sleep and get me up?

Hi carolinemussared,

So you're able to set an alarm, but when it goes off there is no sound or vibration. Thanks for those additional details!

In Settings > Sounds & Haptics is the make sure the Haptic Alerts option is currently enabled. Also on that page, make sure the Alert Volume is currently turned up to a level you can hear.

Change the audio and notification settings on your Apple Watch

Make sure the watch isn't currently muted. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to pull up Control Center and check to see that the bell button is not turned on. (If it is currently red, that will mean it is turned on)

Aside from that, make sure to restart the watch if you haven't done so already, and make sure the watch is up to date.

Restart your Apple Watch

Update your Apple Watch

If the alarm still doesn't work after that, we'd recommend contacting Apple for assistance: Get Support

Cheers!

Hi carolinemussared,

We understand you're having issues with the alarm. We're happy to help.

To start, we'd suggest providing more specific detail on what the issue is? When you say the alarm is not working, what exactly does that mean? Are you unable to open the Alarm app? Are you unable to create an alarm in it? Are you able to set an alarm, but it's not playing a sound when it goes off? Etc.

The more details you're able to provide, the better the community will be able to understand what you're experiencing so members can provide more relevant responses.

In the meantime, here's some basics on using the Alarm app that may help: Add an alarm on Apple Watch

Cheers!

Yes I can set the alarm, but when it goes off, no sound, no vibration or haptic taps from phone or watch. It just displays the alarm screen with the two buttons, snooze and stop that’s it.

this is when using the bedtime schedule.

and you get the same in alarm app using music, but if you use apple standard ringtone it works.

The problem is that I normally track my sleep and heart rate, so without the bedtime schedule my watch is pointless.

I started to notice this back in January, but didn’t really have the time to test what was happening, but this was half term so I had time on my hands and decided to test it. I’ve always had a secondary alarm separate as a back up, but since January it’s been godsend and saved my bacon 🥓 from being late to work most mornings.

There is some technical glitch in your software, as I am not the only one having this trouble.
