When my son turns on his iPad I get “can see your location” in Find My. It has never been an issue before. I have to always ask to follow him. The next time he turns on his iPad, I will get the same “can see your location” under his name in Find My. Any ideas?
His device needs to set up the sharing of his location to you.

Right. But I always could see him. He lives with us, is disabled, so he doesn’t change any settings. I think once Apple stores open without restrictions I will just have to take him and his devices to see what happened. My husband and has an iPad and iPhone and no issues. Same with my mom — no issues.
Logically that message means he can locate you, not the other way round.
