I got an air tag to place in my purse. It registered to my ID and showed up on my iPad when I first set it up. Now, two hours later, it doesn’t seem findable and FIND MY is taking forever (but finds the iPad immediately). Ideas?

Here's why they can't be found, it's because they are absolutely useless about 90% of the time. I have never bought something from Apple this half-baked, this half-implemented. Perhaps they work better in the city, but they are useless even finding objects 12 feet away with my iPhone 12 Max or brand new MacBook Pro Max. It's ridiculous and should be an embarrassment for Apple.
