Apple Numbers - Cannot type in header or footer

Hello! After updating my Mac to 12.2.1 I can no longer type in the header or footer of my Numbers documents. I can add a Date, Time, Page Number (all pre-sets in headers and footers) but I can't enter in my own text. (This is happening when you go to print preview and can edit the layout of headers and footers.)

This was working fine until I updated my Mac. My Numbers is version 11.2.

Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks!

If you still can't get the normal behavior you can try:

Make sure you have updated to the latest MacOS, currently 12.2.1.

Quit Numbers and relaunch.

If that doesn't worth then try uninstalling and re-installing Numbers from the Mac App Store.

(To uninstall got to Launchpad and hold down the <option> key until the icons shake, then click the x by Numbers.)
