AirPods 2. Gen produced in Vietnam vs. China

I got my AirPods 2. Gen replaced because my first ones made crackling noises. The new ones were produced in Vietnam and I remember the first ones I had were from China. Now this may sound crazy but to me personally there seems to be a huge difference in the way they feel in my ear - the sound is different too, but my main problem is that the China produced ones seem much lighter and more comfortable in my ears (maybe it’s a preference depending on the person). Went to the store and they told me they don’t have an influence on which ones they sell/replace. I’m trying but really can’t get used to them, just want my old ones back. Has anyone else experienced such a thing?
