Why is Julia Michaels missing?

We recently switched from Spotify and there’s something not quite the same with some songs on Apple Music.

Lie to me, by 5 Seconds of Summer, featuring Julia Michaels is one. On Spotify, we could clearly hear Julia on the vocals. On Apple Music it doesn’t sound like she’s there at all. Anyone else noticed issues like this? https://music.apple.com/us/album/lie-to-me-feat-julia-michaels/1446860159?i=1446860160

Thanks. It’s not an equalizer issue for this song. I tried listening more closely. On the web player, you can clearly hear her singing the second verse alone. In the iOS version of the same song, labeled “featuring Julia Michaels”, it’s clearly a guy singing the second verse.

I can confirm that many tracks/albums give a different listening experience from the native CD-playing CD player, also Windows players burning from CD. Add to that Apple Atmos is also “out of this world” (for whatever that’s worth).

That said, they’re the only game in town for lossless, so until Spotify catches up, nothing to do but “re-tune” your ears and shrug it off.
