No printer populate to add.

Trying to add a printer to my iMac, printers do not populate to select one- just blank?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.6

Add printer My Mac Pro does not let me add a printer. Going to Printer& Scanner on System Preference, my HP DeskJet 3720 does not appear in the selection ( selection screen empty). I try to add it manually but it is not accepted. What shall I do?

Is the printer connected with usb? If not try that to add the printer, then see if you can use it wireless.
