Phone won’t ring when watching any video

This may be due to the Attention Aware Feature of the iPhone. When the iPhone has your attention while you are looking at the screen (typing, reading websites or working with an app), then it automatically reduces the sound because it knows you are looking right at it so no need to issue loud notifications.

You can turn this feature off if you want by opening Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Face ID & Attention ➔ Attention Aware Feature set this to OFF.

Same issue, this fix not helping me either. It doesn't ring at all when any video is showing while plugged directly into car or using my headphones. The banner shows up without problems and that is the only way I'm seeing the calls come in but have to be looking at the display when a call comes in. When phone is unplugged completely, the ringer works. Headphone setting is correct, attention aware feature off, etc. (Note, does ring when phone is only connected to a wall charger.)

This does not fix the issue of phone not ringing when watching live feeds or video
