Sender not junk mail
Started a new job and IOS mail keeps sending their email to junk folder. I have the contact marked as VIP but to no avail!

Tagging a sender as VIP won't save it from being sent to the Junk folder, it would seem.
You will need to tell Mail that the sender is not Junk.
Apple's support document Identify and filter junk mail in iCloud has some tips:
Mark legitimate emails as not junk
Filtering out junk mail can block a legitimate email from reaching your inbox.
If you feel that a legitimate email message was accidentally filtered, you can mark it as not junk so that any future messages from the same sender go to your inbox:
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the message in the Junk folder, tap the Move to Folder button at the bottom of the screen, then tap Inbox to move the message.

I created a Rule that moved my employer's email “tag” to my inbox.
