Restoring deleted iCloud files when iCloud.com Restore Files is not working

I have just accidently deleted my icloud documents and can't recover them through iCloud.com Restore Files credentials as it says no files available. I was re-booting my computer at the same time as checking iCloud storage and fear I have permanently deleted all my work/research/development files. Please can you help!

Well, that not always the case. iCloud can back up to your desktop before deleting files in some instances

My documents were retrieved with the help of Apple Support doing the following;

Click 'Go' on top line of mac along from apple symbol; then Home; then iCloud Drive (Archive).

All my files were archived there. Command A and place back into Documents folder to reinstate.

I hope that helps anyone in the future.
