time machine says not working but it is

i keep getting messages that tell me that i haven't had a backup in 120 days

(a new one is added each day.....tomorrow will be 121)


but when i go to my backup, it tells me that i was back-up at 5:32 on

2/28/22


running monterey 12.2.1

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.0

Do you or did you have more that one drive that was used for Time Machine?


If for example you were using a different external drive that died or was replaced, then perhaps Time Machine is looking for the old missing external drive.


Look in the Time Machine preferences and see if you have two Time Machine drives listed.
