screen turn black for a few sec

I have the new MacBook Air with Apple silicon M1 and the external monitor randomly goes black for a brief second. Seems to happen a few times a day. does anyone have a solution for this one?

i have tried plugging and unplugging my hub but same problem i use this hub on my windows laptop and it never occurred to that unit only in my mac

External display screen goes black for a few seconds every few minutes with macbook air 2017 13 Hi all, I have a macbook air 2017 13 inch and a Dell monitor. I use a Belkin TB to hdmi cable to connect to my monitor. What happens is that when connected to the second screen, the second screen turns black for a few seconds (sometimes 10-20 seconds, sometimes just 1 or 2). This seems to happen completely random and sometimes it doesn't happen for 30 minutes whereas at times it happens a few times per minute. My macbook screen does not turn black when the second screen does. I have had the same issue before with another monitor so something tells me that the issue is with my mac and not the monitors. Could anyone help me resolve this issue? I wonder if it could be a faulty cable or if I have to change some of my settings?

MacBook Pro suddenly no longer detected by external monitor I have two devices; a 16" 2019 Intel MacBook Pro, and a new M1 MacBook Pro. For some reason, the Intel MBP has suddenly stopped being detected by the external monitor. ...Well, almost. When I plug it in, the monitor detects something, but nothing shows on the screen, so it goes to sleep. When the monitor goes to sleep, the MBP goes back to a single display… …which makes the monitor detect a display change, and wake up again… …only to not be able to detect anything, and start the whole cycle over again, on an endless loop. Thing is: the new M1 MacBook Pro works just fine with the external monitor. So there's clearly not any issue with the monitor, or the dongle I'm using. It's only with the 2019 Intel MacBook Pro. I followed all the steps in the troubleshooting guide, but they didn't resolve the issue. Please help.

How is the screen connected? Try replacing the cables or hub adapter if they are being used.

usb c dongle then hdmi, have tried it on my windows laptop it has no problem. i have been using my windows laptop the whole afternoon with no blinking to black screen but when i transfer to windows it would blink every once in a while.

will just add that even if i plugged in the power then close my MacBook it is still the same it still goes to black.
