Activity Notifications turn off music

Seems like this issue has begun again without an option to turn off the voice over for activity notifications.

Music will be playing from my phone to my headphones via Bluetooth. Once an activity completion notification comes through, it will pause the music and play a loud voice telling me the completed activity.

Then whenever I push play on my phone to resume the music the audio plays from the speakers of the phone instead of headphones.

tThen you have to go back into Settings >Bluetooth and select the headphones again in order to restore the music via Bluetooth on the headphones.

This is incredibly frustrating and interrupts workouts.

Welcome James.forshaw,

It sounds like notifications are pausing your music playback when using headphones. We'll do our best to help out.

For this, we'd try to forget the device you're using for headphones in the Bluetooth settings. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the information (i) next to the device. Tap Forget this Device, to remove it from the list. Reboot the headphones, if needed, and disable Bluetooth, then enable it again to re-pair them.

If the issue continues after these steps, then it would be best to contact Apple Support: Get Support

They'll take it from here.

Wishing you well, take care.
