Yahoo Inbox not getting new messages on Mac Mail

For some reason my inbox stopped updating for my yahoo email account on Mac Mail. It still works on my iOS devices. Sent mail, junk mail, drafts, etc all update in real time, but the inbox does not update. No new messages. So I tried a rebuild the mailbox but that did not seem to do anything. The next thing I did was completely remove the account from all devices and re-add it. Now my inbox is completely blank. All of my other folders are current (e.g. sent mail, junk, etc). It is just the inbox and it remains blank. My iPad and iPhone repopulated after deleting and re-adding. HELP! This is my primary email address and I have been using Mac Mail for years. I am on a Mac Book Pro 13-inch 2020 running Monterey 12.2.1

In case it helps anyone, I solved the problem. I went to ~/Library/Mail/V9 and deleted all files and folders. I then restarted Mail. It had to redownload 114K emails into mail, but my inbox is working again. I assume I cleared some messed up cache. You would think completely removing the account and adding it again, would do this, but guess not.

If no insight or resolve —verify with your email provider IMAP server is working as expected. YOu can log into your account through a browser ans make changes if necessary.

Thanks for the response. Connection doctor shows no issues. All of the other folders sync without issues as well. It is literally only the inbox. For example the junk email folder has all of the junk messages in it. I assume the IMAP server is working ok on Yahoo's side since everything else is syncing and the emails show up on my iPad and iPhone
