Apple TV+ Add-on Problem

I subscribed to the Apple TV app Channel BritBox, but when I go to access a show through the Apple TV app Channel BritBox it brings me to the BritBox app login screen. Obviously I do not have a login, so I cannot access BritBox shows. What’s the solution (other than canceling the add-on and separately signing up for BritBox)?

My theory is that BritBox's metadata for these shows routinely if not at least frequently doesn't allow for the TV+ channel subscription to play it. Note that this is purely theory as I have no idea what any metadata. actually looks like. Attempts to get this resolved via both Apple and BritBox have been similar to what's already been mentioned here -- neither understands the problem and neither takes any action to resolve it. Even when I mention I'm a TV+ subscriber to BritBox with an old, expired direct BritBox account that I don't use any more, the first thing BritBox always says is, I see your account expired.

At least for my experiences, the shows eventually start working, a few days later. Usually, so far.

I used to have a subscription directly from Acorn TV but they cut me off halfway through an annual subscription and refused to acknowledge the annual payment evidence provided. As such, they're kind of on my "do not touch" list now.

Hi Sarah. I have exactly the same problem and have now had 4 very frustrating conversations with 4 advisers within Apple. Despite this being a channel they carry on their platform, and despite collecting my subscription dues, they have told me I need to take the matter up with Acorn TV.

The channel is still listed on their website and it’s still an active subscription against my Apple ID.

Hello

in my last call I asked for a refund and have set up a subscription with acorn media because I was having the same frustrating experience with Apple support. I waited three days for a

call back and then was told I’d have to wait another five days whilst a senior engineer looked at the problem. Doing that would have resulted in my paying for another month’s subscription for a service I couldn’t access.
