You’ve successfully set up Apple Cash. Now you can send and receive money with just a text.1 Plus, your Apple Cash card lives in the Wallet app and works a lot like a debit card.2 So you can use it with Apple Pay to make secure, contactless purchases.
Apple Cash also lets you easily split the bill, pay back a friend, or give the kids their allowance — all in Messages. And in Wallet, you can instantly transfer money from your Apple Cash card to your bank account at any time.3

Apple Cash works with Apple Pay to make every transaction easier, safer, and more secure. Plus, the built-in technologies of Face ID and Touch ID make authorizing payments something only you can do.
Since Apple Pay is accepted at over 85 percent of retailers in the U.S., you can use your Apple Cash card to shop in stores, online, and within apps. Just look for the Apple Pay button or NFC symbol symbol in stores and hold the top of your iPhone or Apple Watch near the contactless reader. Once you authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID, you’ll see Done and a checkmark on the display. For online purchases, just tap the Apple Pay button, and authenticate.

With Apple Cash Family, you can set up an Apple Cash account for anyone in your family who is under 18. Use Messages to send the kids their allowance or lunch money, or let the grandparents suprise them with a little extra cash — all in seconds.4 You can also set safeguards around their sending. It’s all up to you.

Add money to get started.
It’s easy to add money from your debit card to your Apple Cash card, where it’s ready to send or spend right away.5 Just follow the steps below.
1. Select your Apple Cash card.
2. Tap (...) icon.
3. Select Add Money.

1. To send and receive money with Messages, you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States. If you’re under 18 years old in the United States, your family organizer can set up Apple Cash for you as part of Apple Cash Family. Then you can send and receive money with Messages.
2. Apple Cash, including person-to-person payments with Messages and the Apple Cash card, is a service provided by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC. Learn more about the Terms and Conditions.
3. Instant Transfer requires eligible Visa or Mastercard debit card. Transfers typically post immediately but can take up to 30 minutes and are subject to security checks that may require more time to make funds available. A 1.5 percent fee (with a minimum fee of $0.25 and a maximum fee of $15) is deducted from the amount of each Instant Transfer.
4. Apple Cash Family accounts can send or receive up to $2000 per transaction or within a seven-day period.

Person-to-person payments and Apple Cash are available only in the U.S. on iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or later, iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad Air 2 or later, iPad mini 3 or later, and Apple Watch.
