Announcing Time Monterey 12.2.1

Did Apple take away the feature where your Mac announces time with the most recent update? Ever since updating my Mac no longer announces time and I don't see the option to even turn it on. *frustration*

The setting is in System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar > Clock.

Mac setting for time announcement Why won't the "announce the time" setting STAY on my Mac? Once it's engaged it announces the time like twice, then never again.

"Announce The Time" is no longer available in Big Sur The mac started announcing the time but there is nowhere in settings to disable this since in Big Sur this feature is not available. Has anybody else encountered this or did someone find the settings someplace else? Thanks
