iPhone SE (A2296) NFC Reader not working

The NFC reader stopped working after ios 15 update and I need it to scan my diabetic sensor.

Can anyone help?

NFC - Freestyle Libra Sensor Not Scanning I have a Freestyle Libra Sensor for which I have downloaded the Freestyle Libra App but the NFC is clearly not working on my iPhone SE 2020 as it can no longer detect the scanner, and my Apple Pay doesn't work either. I have reset the phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, logged out of Apple ID and logged back in, changed my password, removed my protective case and plastic glass protector, but still it does not work. I specifically bought the iPhone SE 2020 to help manage my diabetes as the app links directly with my nurse and I don't have to link up to a PC every two weeks to send my scan results. iPhone SE 2020 NFC reader not working I have an iPhone SE 2020, which is about 2.5 years old. I've been able to use the NFC reader for Apple Pay for some time, but recently it hasn't worked. Other applications which use the NFC reader also doesn't work. I've tried to remove the cover, do a forced restart, update to the newest iOS (16.1) and even reset all settings, but it still doesn't work. What else can I do?

I cannot get the NFC portion to work. I know it does work with smartphones, as several Samsung galaxy users are using it without issue. I have done everything I know to try. Is there a trick to getting an iPhone 13 pro max to work with this device? One time I scanned it, and apple pay opened. So it seems like something is awry at a level I cannot access.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! To help isolate the NFC functionality, are you able to test if Apple Pay is working expected? Is the issue only occurring when using the companion app to the diabetic sensor? If so, we would suggest the steps in the following article that will include checking for any updates to the app, , uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and lastly contacting the app developer if needed:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open
