iPhone screen randomly turns black

Why does my iPhone background turn black with white text when entering some websites? Briefly, the normal white screen will appear with a picture if one exists then, immediately screen flashes to black with white text, no pictures and limited content?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 15

Hi, jeri141. From what you've described, this may be related to Dark Mode on your device: Use Dark Mode on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

You can enable and disable that feature from Settings > Display & Brightness. Or select the "Automatic" option to have it automatically change.
