Hi I have multiple devices linked under same apple id. My ipad is out of space and happy to delete imessages off ipad.
have read that you turn off wifi and delete will
not impact phone (primary device) however once back on wifi will that sync? Cannot lose the iMessages off the phone

To disable Messages in iCloud:
Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > Messages - set to OFF
Unless disabled, deletions from one device will be synchronised to other devices.
