After Monterey 12.2.1 Update

After updated my macbook pro 2019 to Monterey version 12.2.1, my camera and usb boss audio stop working. I have a Samsung monitor connected to the mac using the thunderbolt cable. The monitor has 2 usb port where I have the usb audio speaker and usb camera connected. Before the update everything were working fine, but now is not.

If someone have a solution?

I have had no video issues with the USB-C to USB-C connection (since the 12in MacBook does not support Thunderbolt), but I've had pervasive issues with audio, webcam, and USB-C peripherals cycling in and out of connection (e.g. the audio output will switch from my laptop to the monitor speakers every 5-10 seconds, since the computer cycles between recognizing the USB connection of the monitor and not. Additionally, the monitor isn't responding to the brightness slider in display settings. I've done SMC reset, NVRAM, factory reset, updated to Catalina etc to no avail, I can't get the connection to stick, not even to conduct a firmware update with the LG Screen Utility app. Could it be a faulty USB-C cable, or a broader issue? I'd like to determine whether or not this is an issue with my laptop or with the monitor, before purchasing a laptop only to find that the monitor is faulty. If anyone has experienced this issue, I'd appreciate it if you could share your experience or any other solutions. Thanks!

USB-C Displayport doesn't work until HDMI is plugged in too I'm trying to connect an external monitor (AOC Q27P2CA) to my 2021 Macbook Pro 14" M1 running Monterey using a USB-C cable, but the monitor isn't detected. The weird part is that if I also connect using an HDMI cable, the Macbook then detects the monitor twice. I can then unplug the HDMI cable, and the USB-C connection works perfectly, including charging the Macbook. Until the Mac goes to sleep, at which point it loses the monitor, and when I wake it up, I have to plug in the HDMI cable again to trigger detection of the USB-C connection, then unplug the HDMI cable again. It seems as though the Macbook needs to have a monitor connected via HDMI before it can detect a monitor connected via USB-C. I could just use HDMI, but I would ideally like to use the monitor's USB hub and charge the Macbook all just with a single cable connecting them.

usb c disconnects monitor Hello, I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020), and several times a day by monitor loses connection to through the USB c hub. It is very annoying and happens every day. The USB connection just seems so flimsy and I've seen many many others complaining of this issue. Does apple have a more reliable way to connect devices to these computers with only USB c interfaces? I'm using an iKling USB C hub from amazon.

Well, make some change in your combination and see what works, like bypassing the Samsung monitor.

You can always contact third party developer for any updated driver/software...

I move the camera and connected to an thunderbolt hub with 2 UBS and the camera start working, but the USB Boss Audio did not work.
